Who we are, why we build, and what "radically simple" means to us.
You've seen the footer. "A Kraftwire Software Product." But who is Kraftwire Software, and why should you care?
We're not a venture-backed startup with a billboard budget. We're a small, focused team of engineers who got tired of building bloated software for other people and decided to build simple software for ourselves.
What Is Kraftwire Software?
Kraftwire Software is an AI-driven digital engineering agency. We help companies ship software in weeks, not months. Custom platforms, mobile apps, legacy migrations·we've delivered over 50 projects with zero data breaches and a relentless focus on outcomes over billable hours.
But client work is only half the story.
The other half is building tools we actually want to use. Tools that don't require a 47-page onboarding flow. Tools that respect your time. Tools that just work.
The Kraftwire Software Philosophy
"Weeks Not Months" isn't just a tagline·it's how we think about everything. If something takes too long to build, we're probably overcomplicating it. If it takes too long to learn, we're probably over-designing it.
The SimplyTools Family
SimplyBoard is part of what we call the SimplyTools family·a collection of productivity tools built on three principles:

We don't build these tools to compete with Notion or Obsidian or whatever the hot productivity app is this week. We build them because we needed them ourselves, and nothing else was quite right.
Why We Build for Ourselves First
There's a certain honesty that comes from building tools you use every day. You can't hide from bad decisions. That sluggish search? You feel it. That confusing UI? You're confused too.
SimplyBoard started as an internal tool. A shared scratchpad for API keys, code snippets, and random notes that didn't fit anywhere else. We used it for months before deciding to open it up.
And we're still using it. Right now. Which means every bug you find, we've probably already hit. And every improvement you suggest, we're probably already thinking about.
From Client Work to Product
Building software for 50+ clients taught us what matters: speed, security, and simplicity. SimplyBoard is the distillation of everything we've learned. No client compromise. Just pure, focused utility.
What's Next
We're not done. SimplyBoard will keep getting better·faster search, better offline support, more keyboard shortcuts. And the SimplyTools family will keep growing.
But we're not chasing growth metrics or Series A funding. We're chasing the feeling of opening an app that does exactly what you need, exactly when you need it, with zero friction.
